Simao Esteves

Hi, I’m Simão.

I started Calisthenics in 2016 in my hometown in Portugal. I came into it right as the sport was shifting between the old-school and the new-school generation (the more flashy version you see online today).

My journey began after a knee injury that required surgery. While waiting to be attended, I started doing basic bodyweight exercises at my local park. That was my real starting point. But my first spark of inspiration came years earlier, as a kid, when I saw a Bar Brothers transformation video. I remember thinking, “That looks amazing - I want to try that someday.”

My Coaching Background

When I moved to London in 2018 for university, I started coaching group Calisthenics sessions. I’ve been doing that ever since - about five years now. Occasionally, I also coach one-on-one, but since I work full time, I can only take on a few clients at a time.

My Approach to Training

Over the years, I’ve experimented a lot. I’ve tried different training styles & methods, even borrowing from other disciplines, to see what actually works - not just what looks good online.

Training Times

  • Online

  • Monday - Friday: 7pm - 10pm

Skills I Train

* 1-0-1 personalised training

* In-person

* Online

* Mix (best of both worlds)

* Group sessions (if enough demand)
